The Derby Chamber of Commerce was established in 1957 by approximately 30 businessmen. However, over the past few years, the chamber has grown to more than 260 members representing just over 200 businesses in the Derby area. The Chamber Ambassadors Group sponsors ribbon cuttings and groundbreaking ceremonies for those businesses new to the community, relocating or expanding their office or building. All of the chamber members are encouraged to do business with one another, promoting the chamber's primary purpose to keep business at home.
