Allen County Community College was constructed in 1923 and enrolls approximately 2,000 students each semester with the programs that it offers. The school also offers many different sports programs from baseball, to golf, to volleyball.
Three campuses comprise the ACCC. Located in the S.E. portion of the state. ACCC is located at the north edge of Iola and has a modern campus which compliments the gently rolling hills of the Neosho River Valley. Iola, served by U.S. Highways 54 and 169, is within a two-hour drive of Kansas City, Wichita, and Topeka, as well as Joplin, Missouri, and Tulsa, Oklahoma.
