Founded: 1860, Population: 1906, Elevation: 1307 ft.Marion is located in Marion County and is the county seat. Situated near the junction of Muddy Creek, Clear Creek, and the Cottonwood River. The first settlers arrived in 1860 and made their first camp at the location of the present Central Park. The downtown area is notable for some fine old buildings. You'll find a friendly, uncrowded, inexpensive place to relax.
