High-quality health care services and community support have been the tradition at St. Francis Health Center since 1909.
St. Francis Health Center opened on Oct. 17, 1909, with 40 beds. Today the Health Center has 378 licensed beds, a medical staff representing nearly all specialties, adult and youth volunteers and an auxiliary.
St. Francis has defined the standard for high-quality health services by introducing the community's first X-ray machine in 1918, first intensive care unit in 1960, first diagnostic ultrasound equipment in 1973, first Pain Medicine Center in 1998 and first PET scanner in 2001. Home to the St. Francis Heart and Vascular Institute and the most highly accredited cancer center in the area, St. Francis skillfully complements its technological innovation with Christian compassion and care.
