Onaga is located in Pottawatomie County. On Hwy 16 and 63, this small crossroads community is east of the Tuttle Creek State Park & Lake and west of the Pottawatomi Indian Reservation. A quiet and comfortable prairie town in the Northeast Region of Kansas. Tree lined streets and pleasant parks invite residents and visitors to linger.

In the National List of Historic Places, Vermillion Creek Archeological District, Onaga vicinity (3-10-75) and Vermillion Creek Tributary Stone Arch Bridge, 5 miles south and 1 mile east of Onaga.
