Glasco City Library, serving an area of 540 residents, has a collection of 6,900 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 10 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials260 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes. Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $1,800. Patrons make 3,400 visits annually, and check out materials 4,800 times. Nineteen percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
