Attica City Library, serving an area of 630 residents, has a collection of 12,000 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 138 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 360 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes. Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $4,600. Patrons make 2,500 visits annually, and check out materials 5,200 times. Twelve percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
