Kentucky Rails to Trails Council, Incorporated is a not-for-profit corporation granted tax exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service. Formed in 1994 and fully staffed by volunteers, its mission is to enhance the quality of life in our communities by developing a state wide rail-trail program. They accommodate diverse user groups in harmony, while serving environmental functions such as acting as buffer zones for pollution from roads and highways.
