The University of Louisville Dance Academy, founded in 1972, is the official school of the University of Louisville Dance Theatre. The focus at University of Louisville is on serious ballet training in an academy setting. It provides Louisville and the surrounding regions, the finest classical dance training available in an academic setting, and makes available to the students seeking this training, a nurturing, safe environment open to all and conductive to learning and to the exploration of all student potentials. Dance instruction in Ballet, and Pointe is given in group classes.
