Comments: My fiance was taken to KDMC emergency room in April of 2008 2 times. They finally informed him that he had to have a gall-bladder removed.He was uninsured due to his lack of work because of his medical problem. He has felt worse since the surgery. We have made numerous trips to the E.R. by EMS and personal vehicle. Every time he is told that they cannot help him. He needs outside help.Dr. Wheeler was the surgeon. They reccommended Dr. Gang, which informed us they could not help him because he was not insured. He has gone from 170 to 130 since this problem begain and is still losing weight. He can't keep liquids or solid food on his stomach, he lives in a tub of hot water which is his only relief. He called the EMS one last time for help and was taken back to the E.R. in the middle of the night and an orderly told him they could do nothing else for him. I have to sit and watch someone I love die before my eyes. How is this a non-profit org. if they are willing to let someone die.

Comments: On the evening of Janurary 26 2007 I was taken to the KDMC emergency room by my husband Michael Adams. The reason for him taking me was I was having suicidal thoughts and was in withdrawls from pain medication which I am addictted to. In my interveiw with the hospital representive I explained all of this to her. I do have insurance and the information was on the insurance card that was needed for my admission to the hospital for my medical emergency. Instead of being treated for my medical emergency I was going to be treated for a medical problem with my right hip. The doctor ordered x-rays of my hip and never addressed the medical condition I was at the hospital for. Anyway I was denied addmission to your hospital for my medical condition because they would not honor my insurance.The next reveiw will be from my attorney.
