Comments: I am embarrassed to say that I work for Ochsner. I brought my nephew to ochsner emergency room. He attends Loyola and my sister called me that he was in pain. He was having terrible muscle spasms in his neck. Loyola clinic referred us to the ER. My sister drove 2 hrs from Ms. The pediatric resident examined him and said she would probably prescribe a muscle relaxer and anti- inflammatory. The attending came in and for some reason decided not to do anything. He would yell and turn red when he spasmed. As we walked out of the ER he was hit with one and scared the receptionist. Luckily his Dad is a Doctor, so we called him and he called in a prescription for a muscle relaxer. My sister keeps getting bills, which she pays, for this visit. Ochsner should be ashamed of themselves. We got NO treatment. I was appalled. I had an emergency appendectomy a week before that while I was in Nashville. At that moment I was glad I was out of town for my surgery. This was horrible treatment.
