Opened in 1983 as Woman's Hospital of Acadiana, the hospital fulfilled a years-long dream of a number of visionary obstetrician-gynecologists, who felt that women would be better served by a facility designed to meet their unique needs. The hospital expanded its mission in 1986 with the opening of a dedicated pediatric unit. And today, their mission is still providing quality, cost-effective healthcare services for the women and children of Acadiana.
