Oak Haven Farms, a specialty nursery, garden center and outdoor recreation facility in Prairieville, Louisiana, settles over 10 acres of land. Situated near the old Spanish settlement of Galveztown and close to historic Bayou Manchac, Oak Haven Farms is nestled beneath ancient live oaks on a beautiful old homesite in Ascension Parish. It was founded in 1977 by Harold Dyson upon his retirement from Exxon Corporation to pursue his lifelong love of plants. From its beginnings as a simple retail nursery, it has grown to include picnic areas, theme gardens, a pick-your-own orchard and a first-rate selection of plants.
