Port Allen

Port Allen is located in West Baton Rouge Parish (of which it is the parish seat) within the Plantation Country Region, between Baton Rouge and Lafayette along Interstate 10 on the banks of the Mississippi River near the Intracoastal Waterway.

The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 6,028, a decrease of 249 since 1990.
