Slidell

Slidell is located in St. Tammany Parish within the Greater New Orleans Region northeast of New Orleans, between Covington and the Mississippi state line along Interstate 12 near Lacombe, Lake Pontchartrain, Fort Pike State Historic Site and Lake Borgne.

The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 26,123, an increase of 1,999 since 1990.

Slidell is part of the New Orleans, Louisiana metro area.
