Stroud's Shady Oak Steak House

Only hand-selected and hand-trimmed USDA Choice steaks, carefully aged for tenderness and flavor are served at Stroud's. They have specialized in steaks and wine for over 33 years and carry over 350 selections of imported and American wines. Stroud'sis the winner of Wine Spectator Award of Excellence-7 years running. There is a private dining room available. The first in Lafayette to feature soup in a bread bowl. Mr. Stroud was inducted into the 1996 Hall of Fame by the Acadiana Chapter of Louisiana Restaurant Association.

Comments: Stroud's was the BEST steak I have ever eaten, hands down! My boyfriend and I both love steak and for our 1 year anniversary we ate there and we are hoping to visit again soon. It is cooked to perfection and just seems to melt in your mouth. The prices are a little steep, but it is worth going at least once. You will understand why there are so many awards on the walls once you bite down into a ribeye.
