This is a lovely bird sanctuary that lies three islands off of the
Terrebonne Parish. The chain is located across the shoreline of Terrebonne Parish. Wine Island, Whiskey Island, and Raccoon Island were acquired in June of 1992 from Louisiana Land a nd Exploration Company. The three islands comprise a total of approximately 630 acres, Habitat restoration is currently underway.
