The commune of Koerich, population 1,804, is located in western Luxembourg, near the Belgian town of Arlon. It is the first town in the
Eisch River Valley, sometimes called the
Valley of the Seven Castles. The castle of Koerich was a feudal fortress subsequently modefied during the rennaisance; it is now a ruin, situated near the banks of the river. Koerich is also notable for its Baroque church.
Goeblange, Goetzingen and Koerich (population 1,045) are boroughs within the commune of Koerich.
All of the boroughs of Koerich lie along the same east-west roadway, the CR109. The N6 traces the southern edge of the commune.
