The commune of Rosport, population 1,867, is the easternmost commune in all of Luxembourg. It is located at a kink in the
Sure River, the site of a huge dam. A few kilometers east, across the border in Germany, lies the city of Trier.
Dickweiler, Girst, Girsterklaus, Hinkel, Osweiler, Rosport (population 659), and Steinheim are boroughs within the commune of Rosport.
The N10 roadway, hugging the Sure, passes through the riverfront boroughs of Steinheim and Rosport.
