The Titelberg Nature Reserve is a hikers paradise, but it is also an important archaeological site, especially for the Roman era. It was a heavily populated, fortified town from the 2nd century BCE through the 3rd century CE, when it was finally overrun by Germanic invaders. It had been inhabited as early as the neolithic area, but those five Roman centuries have yielded the greatest archaeological finds, both in quantity and quality. There are still many excavations taking place today.
Titelberg is located between Niedercorn and Petange.
