Wiltz Luxembourg

The commune of Wiltz, population 4,571, is located in northern Luxembourg, deep in the [oesling] forest, on the Wiltz River. Wiltz is a major tourist destination, especially for Scouts -- there are several campgrounds and chalets owned by Scouting organizations, some of which are operated exclusively for their members, and some of which are open to the public.

Wiltz is divided in two, with the lower part set on the river, and the upper part nestled along a rocky ridge. The towns Decanal Church dates from the 16th century and contains the tombs of the former Lords of Wiltz.

The N12 and N26 roadways intersect in Wiltz.
