Bridgewater State College

Since its founding in 1840 by Horace Mann, the father of public higher education in the United States, Bridgewater State College grew from a one-room school to become one of the largest in the Massachusetts State College system. Total enrollment is more than 8000 students. A full range of undergraduate programs are offered leading to BA and BS degrees. The graduate division encompasses programs leading to MA, MS and Master's in specific subjects. Beyond the master's degree, study programs are available up to the doctorate in collaboration with the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.
