Captain Penniman HouseIn the Historic Fort Hill Area |
Built in 1867, the Captain Penniman House is in the Fort Hill Area of the Cape Cod National Seashore in Eastham Massachusetts and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Open to the public through the Cape Cod National Seashore, (NPS).
Penniman was a wealthy whaling captain. The house has since been refurbished, but still features many original items. Open houses and tours are offered by the National Seashore.
Located approximately 1.4 miles past the Orleans rotary on Rte. 6 eastbound as you head towards Provincetown. Follow the signs for Fort Hill which will be on your right. Penniman House will be on your right.
