Fort Hill Rural Historic District |
Part of the Cape Cod National Seashore. Peace, tranquility and awesome views in a historic Cape Cod setting are to be found atFort Hill. Recently designated a "Rural Historic District" by the National Park Service, the Fort Hill Area encompasses farm fields, marsh and ocean views as well as walking trails that meander along the marsh and through a red maple swamp. The area is home to a host of birds, wildlife and includes three National Historic Register houses.
The Captain Penniman House, a whaling museum is worth a visit. Scenic overlooks to Nauset Marsh, Coast Guard Beach,and Atlantic Ocean.
