Sandwich Glass Museum |
The Sandwich Glass Museum interprets the history of the town of Sandwich, which began as an English colonial agricultural community in 1637 and became a great glassmaking center during the American Industrial Revolution of the 19th century. It displays more than 5,000 glass pieces created by the different glass companies in Sandwich during the 19th and 20th centuries. The Museum also includes a new furnace for glassblowing demonstrations, a multi-media theater, contemporary glass gallery and a museum gift shop.
The museum can be rented for receptions, board meetings, lectures, seminars and workshops.
