Shudokan Martial Arts Association is a membership organization dedicated to promoting traditional Japanese budo and bujutsu. The SMAA invites all individuals who are interested in traditional Japanese budo and bujutsu, to apply for membership. Full members are eligible to apply for rank and teaching titles and associate members receive all the other benefits of membership, but do not receive rank or titles. It offers western martial artists access to legitimate budo or bujutsu organizations and teachers in Japan.
