Mattapoisett Historical Society

This musuem is housed in a former New England church built in 1821. The museum displays scrimshaw, whaling artifacts, period costumes, and antiques. The Carriage House Museum contains carriages, and an early firewagon, tools, an 1890 kitchen, a saltworks model and weaving equipment.

Open Tuesday - Saturday 1pm-4:30pm in July and August, closed holidays.
