Harrington Memorial, a non-profit institution, officially opened its doors on September 7, 1931, with a capacity of 34 beds, 6 children?s cribs, and 13 bassinets. Today, the Hospital has grown to a modern, 113-bed hospital which provides quality health care to a service area of approximately 350 square miles covering 17 towns in South Central Massachusetts and Northeastern Connecticut.
