Emerson Hospital is a full-service, non-profit community hospital conveniently located on Route 2 in historic Concord, Massachusetts. Founded in 1911, today Emerson is a 170-bed hospital which provides advanced medical service to more than 220,000 individuals in 25 towns. With more than 220 primary care doctors and specialists on the active medical staff, Emerson physicians provide everything from anesthesiology to vascular surgery. The hospital is well known for its outstanding nursing care and patient-centered facilities including the Birthing Center and special care nursery. A Level II Special Care Nursery enables us to care for moderately ill newborns. It is the only special care nursery in the area, which provides 24-hour in-house coverage by pediatricians and anesthesiologists.
