Naumkeag |
The summer estate of Joseph Choate, (ambassador to Britain 1899-1905), this house contains original furnishings and a large collection of Chinese procelain. The name, Naumkeag, means 'haven of peace' and the gardens attest to that.
Visitors can take a guided tour of the house and a self guided tour of the gardens.
