This museum includes five buildings on a 3 acre site. It houses a collection of Early American firefighting equipment and memorabilia from the late 1700s to the early 1900s including fire helmets and a reproduction of Benjamin Franklin's Union Firehouse. Visitors can view an animated diorama of the Chicago fire of 1871, a Victorian apothecary and a blacksmith shop.
