Nomans Land Island National Wildlife Ref |
Nomans Land Island National Wildlife Refuge was establihed April 29, 1970. This refuge, owned by the US Navy, provides a habitat for migrating birds and nesting for colonial waterbirds. It is a resting and feeding area for migrating peregrine falcons. The island is closed to public use. It serves as a sanctuary for migratory birds.
