Pilgrim Memorial is the smallest park in the Massachusetts park system and is the most visited, with one million visitors a year. Plymouth Rock is the place where passengers on the Mayflower first set foot in the new world in 1629, and Plymouth is the town where the Europeans first settled. A replica of The Mayflower II is anchored at the park. Rte. 3 south to Rte. 44 (Plymouth). Follow 44 east to waterfront.
