Pine Manor College (PMC) is a four-year liberal arts college for women, situated on 60 wooded acres in the Chestnut Hill section of Brookline, five miles from downtown Boston. It was founded in 1911 in Wellesley. The College moved to its present campus in 1965 and first awarded Bachelor's degrees in 1977. PMC offers the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree, the Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree, and the Associate in Science (A.S.) degree. Over 50 areas of interest are offered within nine majors. Enrollment is more than 450, and most classes are under 20 in size.
