Plimoth Plantation

Plimoth Plantation was the first permanent European settlement in southern New England (AD 1620). Today, this area is the site of a living museum, dedicated to recreating 17th - century lifeways in the New World. Visitors can not only learn about the pilgrim way of life, but can also experience American Indian culture by watching demonstrations of how the natives cooked and made canoes and woven goods.
