Massachusetts State Science Fair, Inc., (MSSF) is dedicated to promoting, encouraging and fostering scientific inquiry and discovery through individual science projects by high school students. Established in 1949 by the educational community and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, MSSF supports and encourages high school, middle school, and regional science fairs leading to the exciting annual competition held each spring at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge.

MSSF is a nonprofit corporation. Over two million students have participated in these competitions with many going on to prestigious and important careers in science and technology.
