Springfield Library and Museums

This library includes the main branch of the Springfield Library system and four museums, The Connecticut Valley Historical Museum, George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum, Museum of Fine Arts and Springfield Science Museum.All of these are arranged around the tree-shaded Quadrangle green at the corner of State and Chestnut Streets. completed in 1934, this outstanding cultural complex was termed "the People's College" by one of its earliest presidents.
