Sterling & Francine Clark Art Institute |
This complex near the Williams College campus houses the collection of Robert Sterling Clark. Pieces dating from the 15th through 19th centuries are featured. Among the paintings are works by Jean Baptiste Camille Corot, Edgar Degas, Jean Honore Fragonard, Piero della Francesca, Thomas Gainsborough, Francisco Jose de Goya, Winslow Homer, Edouard Manet, Claude Monet, Pierre Auguste Renoir, John Singer Sargent and Gilbert Stuart. Sculptures include pieces by Rodin and Degas.
Open daily 10am-5pm from July through Labor Day; Tuesday - Sunday 10am-5pm the rest of the year. Closed major holidays.
