Located on Plunkett St, this building was built in 1902 by writer Edith Wharton, the first woman novelist to win a Pulitzer Prize for fiction. Wharton and her niece, landscape architect Beatrix Farrand, designed the 50-acre estate, which includes lawns, woodlands and formal gardens. Due to an on-going restoration project, the home has several floors open for guided tours.

Open daily 9am-2pm in June through October. Saturday and Sunday 9am-2pm in May.
