Charles River School of Shiatsu concentrates on shiatsu instruction and chi fitness. It is licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department Of Education, and serves as a continuing education provider with the American Massage Therapy Association and the Board of Nursing Registration. The school offers a 700-hour Shiatsu Certification Program focused on the synergistic practice of healing, martial and cultural arts of East Asia. The curriculum focuses on classical studies central to shiatsu practice where each aspect reflects, and is enhanced by the vitality of all the other arts.
