Founded in 1834 as a female seminary, this four-year liberal arts college has been coeducational since 1987. The College occupies a 140-acre residential campus, 35 miles south of Boston.
The academic programs feature more than 600 courses leading to the BA degree in thirty-five majors and more than 70 minors. Close to 1500 students attend classes averaging 15 to 20. The faculty/student ratio is 1/13. International internships for students are supported by more than $1 million in endowment funds.
