Founded in 1888 by American kindergarten movement pioneer Lucy Wheelock, Wheelock College is a private, co-educational college with campuses in
Boston and
Brookline. This 7-acre downtown campus accommodates about 700 students in study programs offering bachelor's and master's degrees, primarily in the areas of education and human services.
Cross registration programs are available with the Colleges of the Fenway Consortium. By the invitation of the governments of Bermuda and Singapore, Wheelock College has established teacher-preparation programs in those countries.
