Turtle Mountain Provincial Park

Manitoba Parks Reservations Service

Make a new discovery at the top of every rolling hill, along the shores of more than 200 lakes and wetlands or amidst the rich hardwood forests of aspen, Manitoba maple, elm, black poplar, ash and birch. For those who love adventure, Turtle Mountain is a wealth of inspiration. Rising up 245.0 metres/804.0 feet from the prairie, this rolling terrain is a "must do" for mountain biking enthusiasts. The first dry terrain in Manitoba after the glaciers receded, Turtle Mountain is home to an abundance of wildlife. Moose, white-tailed deer, beaver, and raccoon are joined by the chorus of birds like loons and grebes. At the park, take a cool dip on a hot summer day, discover the Turtle Mountain Interpretive Centre, drop a line for a master angler rainbow trout, or put your feet up and just relax in the privacy of your campsite.
