In addition to hiking trails, this wooded area offers a primitive weather station, a re-created pioneer homestead and a visitor center with animal displays and a hands-on learning center for children. Picnic facilities are available. Visitor center open Tuesday through Saturday 9am-5pm, Sunday 1pm-5pm; trails open daily dawn-dusk. Closed major holidays.
