Rock Creek Regional Park

This regional park site is a favorite for recreation; Lake Needwood offers seasonal canoe and paddleboat rentals, fishing, hiking and biking trails, an archery range, and playground equipment. About 18 shelters are available for picnicking and may be reserved for groups.

Other activities highlighted at the park include golfing at the Needwood Golf Course, a visit to the Meadowside Nature Center, and 20-minute weekend lake cruises on the 'Needwood Queen,' May through Labor Day.

The Meadowside Nature Center offers natural and cultural history exhibits. A snack bar provides refreshments nearby. Park open daily dawn to dusk; closed major winter holidays.
