Solomons is located in
Calvert County at the tip of Hwy 4, across the Patuxent River from
Lexington Park. The town's harbor is one of the world's deepest natural ports. Noted as a yacht and boat building center, the resort affords access to popular fishing grounds.
The area includes a Marine Biological Labratory, and Solomons Islands near the point where the Patuxent River empties into Chesapeake Bay.
