Built in 1798, this historic church provides a majestic view of the Port Tobacco River from Chapel Point. Built in honor of St. Ignatius Loyola, the founder of the Jesuit order of priesthood. The site at Saint Thomas Manor served as the burial-place of many Jesuit priests, the elder and younger Samuel Mudd, and several soldiers laid to rest here during the American Revolution.
