US Naval Academy

The academy covers more than 300 acres on the south side of the Severn River. Established in 1845 by Navy Secretary George Bancroft, the academy occupies the site of old Fort Severn.

Tours and information are available at the Arme-Leftwich Visitor Center, which features interactive exhibits, a film and guided walking tours; food is available.

Grounds are open daily 9am-5pm. Various sites have various hours, call for schedules.
