Model Ships of the Chesapeake offers pictures and hand-built wooden models, old Chesapeake Bay ships, including the skipjack, bugeye, and schooner. In the early 1900s there were more than 2000 skipjacks working the bay area, now less than 12 actively are working in the oystering trade. The bugeye was also part of the great oyster fleet of the early 1900s.
