Claremont Hotel

The Claremont, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is located on the shore near the mouth of Somes Sound, situated on six acres and commanding some of the finest views to be had on Mt. Desert, an island well known for its natural beauty.

In addition to the historic main building the Claremont provides two guesthouses, fourteen cottages, dining room, dock, moorings, croquet courts and tennis court as well as close proximity to Acadia National Park and all it's resources. The hotel facilities include a clay tennis court, six and nine wicket croquet courts, bicycles, dock, rowboats, moorings and library.
